Donal joined RKD in 1997 and has more than 23 years experience in the construction industry. His extensive experience includes a broad range of architectural projects such as: office developments, retail, laboratory and industrial. Donal is an effective team leader and manager and has a proven record in all aspects of construction from schematic design, planning, tender, construction stage to completion on site. He has been a senior team member involved in retail projects such as Lidl, Woodies DIY and the Guinness storehouse within RKD. Donal was Resident Architect for the State Agricultural laboratories in Backweston, Dublin. This large scale project required comprehensive knowledge of design co-ordination in management and supervision on site. Prior to joining RKD Architects Donal worked with Newenham Mulligan Architects and was responsible for the Roches Stores retail projects in Blanchardstown, Tallaght and Cork. He previously worked on numerous retail projects throughout the UK including: Sainsburys, Etam, WHSmith and Safeway. He is also experienced in the co-ordination of the health and safety management of project supervisor design process.
