Associate: Kosta Kapetangiannis

After qualifying as an Architect from the University of the Witwatersrand, (South Africa) in 1997, Kosta worked in a number of Johannesburg-based architectural practices — RSL Architects, RFB Architects and Margoles Architecture and Urban Design — in office, retail, industrial, residential and leisure & entertainment projects, gaining a broad experience in these different sectors.

As Architect / Project Architect, Kosta workedclosely with the principals of these companies in the design development, preparation of construction documentation and contract administration on a variety of projects including Grandwest Casino, Newcastle Temporary Casino, La Pirogue Conference Centre, Quay Largo Entertainment and Retail, Edenburg Terraces Office Development.

In June 2000 he joined OMS Architects in Dublin where he was involved in a range of projects, assisting with planning stage documentation, design / feasibility studies and a number of smaller projects which were designed and completed on site under his supervision, to include the Holiday Inn Conference Facility and the John Taylor store refurbishment in Dublin.

Kosta joined RKD Architects in April 2002 as Project Architect for the Department of Agriculture Laboratories Campus at Backweston, involved with the day-to-day administration and job running of this complex contract.

Kosta was appointed as Associate Director of RKD in December 2004 and has since been the Project Architect on the Riverside IV mixed-use development in Grand Canal Harbour as well as a number of masterplanning and other mixed use-projects at various stages of development.
