RKD at ISPE Europe Annual Conference 2017

RKD’s Geert Douterlungne and Johan Wilken will be attending the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) 2017 Europe Annual Conference in Barcelona from 3 – 5 April 2017.

This year the ISPE 2017 Europe Annual Conference will focus on “Pharma Manufacturing 2025” and the way to achieve a modern, agile, and flexible production landscape.

Placing the Conference’s major themes in an architectural context, RKD will be discussing the main regulatory trends towards 2025, how current technology platforms will evolve, what the required skillsets and capabilities of the future workforce will be, what the facility of the future will look like, how will operations be managed, and how safe supply can be guaranteed with no counterfeits and no drug shortages.

RKD’s pharmaceutical clients include Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Sanofi, Merck, and GlaxoSmithKline. We provide our pharma clients with an integrated design approach incorporating masterplanning, architecture, interior design, laboratory, office, industrial, food & beverage design expertise, BIM/Revit, and LEED/BREEAM/WELL.

Our specialist services include consultancy, architectural design, procurement, project and cost management, construction management, and validation.

We apply these services across a range of projects including feasibility studies, masterplanning, people/material/product flows, design and process integration, construction management, cleanroom & containment design, laboratory design, and FDA integration/validation.

Within each pharmaceutical project, we strive to achieve interactive planning, involve end users and business units, create team environments, reflect corporate aspirations, enhance real estate value to support share value, and project programming to match cash flow.
